Ocean Treasures

Ocean Treasures is by far my largest website.  It was built to be a reference and teaching aid for school-aged children (vernacular), yet the information contained is scientifically valid.  The site is used by students and educators around the world and has been viewed over a million time.  This website was built in coordination with marine biologist Dr. Gregory Mann {ret.}.

The Library contains 475+ pages, containing 60,000+ images, and 300,000+ words.  To answer your question, yes, it took years.

PC Pulse

PC Pulse

PC Pulse is a retail website based in Chicago with an international audience.  The website sells a software download (virtual product) that offers computer monitoring, antivirus protection, and automated cloud backup.  The challenge of this was to ensure that the software could not be downloaded by an unauthorized person.  This was accomplished with an .htaccess file that only allows the website itself to deliver the file.

This website also has a private members area with help files, message boards, and direct access to technical support.

Schroeder Asphalt

Schroeder Asphalt is an information website built for a company in Chicago a few years ago.  Despite repeated attempts, I have not been in contact with the business owners.  Therefore the site has not been updated for some time.

This poses serious security risks and I am not longer responsible for the state of the website.  The link and image were included on this page to show the design and layout.  The site does have a pretty cool animated header.

Previous Websites

As I stated on my Salvatori’s Graphics page, the Salvatori’s website had been my main focus for the past 10 years.  After the sale of the restaurants, I transferred a slimmed-down version of the site to the new designer.  Although there have been some updates of the content, enough of my work still remains that it is worth viewing.

My final year working for the company was spent (in part) building an Online Ordering website.  That website appears to be unchanged from the original build.
